Batting Cages for Big Rock Ballfields - Your Support is Needed!
Through an amazing partnership with the City of Duvall, your Valley Little League has invested in batting cages to be installed at the Big Rock Ballfields. The poles are ordered, and the nets are already on the way! This will be installed on the turfed area near the third base side of Big Rock Field 2. We hope to have this up and running before the season starts.
Batting cages are called for in the Big Rock Ballpark Expansion Project (which is really cool - you should check that out!) but that project is still years from execution and needs budget from the City to proceed. By acting now, we can provide immediate development opportunities for our Softball and Baseball players in our community, as well as enhance the park for other visitors too.
We can't pull off a project like this without community support, though! We have made the initial investment from our reserve fund and are raising money to help make this happen. Once the cages are paid off, we can focus on other potential capital improvements to help support Softball and Baseball in the Valley.
We could not have made this project a reality without the support of your 2026 Valley Little League board and the City of Duvall Council, who voted on January 6, 2026 to accept the proposal and donation. Special thanks as well to Steve Leniszewski, the City of Duvall Public Works Director, and his team. Without their support, this would not be happening.

Example of an area where the Ballfields will be installed in:

Your little league board selected the Mastadon Batting Cage System from Batting Cages INC. - this will be a product that will last and hold up to the elements well and provide years of baseball and softball development. From BCI: "The Mastodon™ batting cage frame system includes 8.625″ outside diameter structural steel pipes coated with the same finish used on the Alaska Pipeline. It has fewer components and offers free and clear spans up to 85′ in either direction – without significant sag. The poles come entirely prepared to accept our tensioning hardware. The cable tensioning system ensures that your net will hang adequately and needs no special tools." Here is an example of what the Mastadon looks like, installed in a side by side configuration, ours will be installed length-wise.
