Safety

SAFETY PLAN

Our league works constantly to maintain the highest level of safety and compliance for our players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and spectators. Annually, our safety officer works with the board to update and produce a safety plan. Review it here.

COVID PROTOCOL

While COVID is less of an issue these days, the health of our players and volunteers is vital to the league's success:

  • Coaches will advise parents that any child with cold/flu symptoms should stay home until those symptoms resolve
  • If a participant tests positive for COVID
    • Participants should isolate per the latest CDC guidelines
    • Participant should notify their coach and let them know the date of the positive test and the last practice/game the participant was present at
    • Coach will notify the league via their respective VP (Baseball or Softball)
  • The League will notify any close contacts based on the last practice/game participant who was present.

LIGHTENING PROTOCOL

  • Stop playing if lightning is 10 miles away or less (i.e., if thunder is heard 50 seconds or less after lightning is seen)
  • Games cannot resume play until no lightning/thunder has been observed for 30 minutes.
  • See Little League's guidelines for more information.
